Kathleen wanted to wear her mother's gown "The problem is my mother is only 5 feet tall and I'm 5 feet 7 inches," said Duguet. "My mother always hoped one of us would wear her gown."

Debby spent over 200 hours hand sewing the lace appliques from Kathleen's mother's wedding gown to transform it into Kathleen lace wedding coat. She left the sleeve intact and took off all the lace appliques from the lace fabric on the original gown and hand-stitched them to sheer English netting.

"I loved working with Debby," Duguet said. "It was such a special experience."
