	Debby Donovan is a highly skilled seamstress with over 25 years of dressmaking experience. Offering exceptional personalized service. Debby's love for sewing began in high school where she was president of the Home Economics club and received the South Grange Sewing circle award at graduation. She married her high school sweetheart and raised three children. In 1989, her daughter, Kari began competing in dance competitions and pageants and Debby made her outfits. In 1990, after receiving many inquiries on where to purchase the outfits, Debby opened her home based business Sew Special Designs. Specializing in making pageant wear and talent costumes, her designs won numerous awards for "Best Dress" and "Best Costume" at regional and national competitions.
For seven years, Debby was involved with Elegant Concepts custom designed bridal. During that time, she was a designer and dressmaker to a multitude of bridal parties and prom girls. One satisfied customer not only came back for a second prom gown, she also had Debby design and make her wedding gown, six bridesmaid and mother of the bride gown! Debby has reproduced several Golden Globe and Oscars fashions.
Debby will help guide you through the design process from beginning to end creating an exquisite gown that reflects your unique personality. She uses the finest quality fabrics, trims, and authentic Swarovski crystals and rhinestones. Many brides have expressed their heartfelt thanks for her attention to detail and the care in which she hand sews the embellishments to create the dream gown of your imagination. Recently, she spent over 200 hours hand sewing lace appliques on a bridal gown; the bride wanted to use the lace from her mother's wedding gown, however, she was 7 inches taller than her mother. Debby cut apart the lace, reattached it to English netting to "stretch" the design, and was able to produce a beautiful, sentimental heirloom gown for the bride.
	Debby's daughter, Megan, shares the same creative talent, and has been sewing with Debby for the past few years. Megan's specialties include creating beautiful christening gowns made from wedding gowns, and excellent hand beading skills. Megan serves as Debby's assistance and helps run the bridal shows as well as participate in them as a model! Megan is attending school for Business Management.
